Beaches

1. FALIRAKI

 

Faliraki is the site of one of the most beautiful beaches in Rhodes and is a great choice for anyone who wants a sun and sand holiday complete with lots of bright lights and action. The center is as buzzing as the beach at night, the place gives you every opportunity to dance and party with a wealth of pubs, discos, music bars, and clubs.

 

2. PRASONISI

Prasonisi is the Greek word for “green island”. During summertime, and when water levels are low enough, this island is a peninsula attached to Rhodes. During the wintertime, and when water levels are high enough, Prasoinisi becomes an island. The closest Greek Village is Katavia, however, there is a purpose-built settlement on Prasonisi that contains motels, convenience stores, restaurants, and windsurf rentals that are open seasonally. Near Prasonisi is Vroulia, an ancient settlement that contains an old mosaic tiled floor.  



3. ANTHONY QUINN

 

Anthony Quinn Bay is the common name for the Vagies Bay on the east coast of the Greek Island of Rhodes. It is located around 15 km from the city of Rhodes and 3 km from Faliraki in the direction of Lindos near Ladiko. The various stories agree that following the shooting of the film The Guns of Navarone (1961), which took place partly in the bay, the actor Anthony Quinn bought land here or it was given to him.

4. TSAMPIKA BEACH 

Tsambika beach is long and broad with fine, golden sand and dozens of colorful little flags marking out the various eating establishments and beach sports centers. Tsambika is one of the most beautiful beaches on Rhodes.



5. LINDOS

 

Lindos is an archaeological site, a fishing village, and a former municipality on the island of Rhodes, in the Dodecanese. It lies on the east coast of the island. It is about 40 km south of the town of Rhodes and its fine beaches make it a popular tourist and holiday destination. Lindos is situated in a large bay and faces the fishing village and small resort of Charaki.
